چکیده

Reptiles are among the most threatened vertebrates worldwide. Habitat loss and fragmentation, human overexploitation, introduced invasive species, emerging diseases, environmental pollution global warming, severely increase risk of extinction population decline this taxon. A key strategy for protecting reptiles’ biodiversity has been creation maintenance protected areas. The focus work will be on Auca Mahuida Natural Protected Area (AM), located in northern Patagonia Argentina. Here, we provide a checklist species found along five years field surveys made within AM’ current limits. effectiveness sampling effort was estimated extrapolated based rarefaction curves shown as sample completeness curve. We recorded AM' boundaries total 16 reptiles, 14 lizards, two snakes. In relation to our sampling, AM well represented (0.98 coverage). Regarding results work, can highlight following reptile endemic region: Liolaemus crandalli , L. cyaneinotatus sitesi Phymaturus P. timi indicating that might indeed isolated many makes these environments vulnerable vital conservation.
